What is Developmental Guidance?
Developmental Guidance is a component of a school counselor's role that reaches all students in the school's community.
It is a way for the counselor to get to know each child in a positive and proactive way.
Developmental Guidance promotes knowledge, attitude, and skills in a variety of areas including: personal/social, academic, and career development.
The developmental guidance program is based on standards from the American School Counselor Association (ASCA).
